The German automaker Volkswagen recently warned of a possible increase in prices for its products, which should be expected by residents of European countries. Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess said Thursday that the cost of cars will rise, without specifying in an interview with the media when exactly the rise in price will occur and how it will be.

Europe's largest automaker Volkswagen combines the brands Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, and the corporation's division for the production of luxury cars includes the brands Lamborghini, Bugatti and Bentley. Also, this company produces trucks - a division of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and the Scania brand.

It should be noted that in the past few years, Germany has been intensively switching to electric vehicles and investing huge sums in the construction of infrastructure for recharging electric vehicles. The Volkswagen concern, which launched the production of its own electric vehicles in the city of Zwickau in the fall of 2019, does not lag behind the general trend. Initially, it was planned to make electric cars as accessible to the public as traditional cars.
